Leicester wedding photographer & Marquess of Exeter wedding
Leicester Guildhall was the backdrop for Caroline & Matt’s summer wedding, an historic 14th century venue with vaulted ceilings in the centre of Leicester. After a short coach journey to Lyddington, they held an outdoor reception around picnic tables at The Marquess of Exeter. For their wedding portraits, Caroline & Matt had a few minutes to themselves as we walked to the Bede House further down the street.
Caroline’s morning began in style, surrounded by her bridesmaids. They all had their hair and make-up professionally done at Good Hair Days salon in Uppingham. Caroline also had the bridal suite at The Marquess of Exeter to get ready in, before an amazing stretch Mini took her and her father to Leicester Guildhall. On a walk around the Guildhall before their wedding, Caroline told me how special it felt to be getting married in such an historic building. Here is a link to the Leicester Guildhall website if you would like more information. The colour palette of their wedding worked perfectly in their rural surroundings, lots of dusky pinks, pastel blues and lush greens. As a wedding photographer in Stamford, I am so lucky to do wedding photography in such beautiful, rural locations. The couple had a less traditional evening do, starting with a (very difficult!) pub quiz, which really brought all the guests together, before then cutting the cake, which was made by Caroline’s father.
